This is an original RPG based off of my own fictional creations. I retain all rights to the names, places, and language I have created for this RPG. In other words - No stealing! There are many types of characters to choose from. The following is a list of the types of characters available; Click the one that interests you to find the information regarding that type of character. NOTE: It is a good idea to read all of the descriptions anyway so that you can understand the types of characters you will be playing against and with. CHARACTERSJuastetShephet'Dema'CemaHumanHybrids

Juastet:
The Juastet are called many things. In English, Juastet means Guardian. They are the creatures who protect the mortal race, who guide them through life and try to keep them from the grasp of the Shephet. These creatures have some powers and are immortal. Probably their most characteristic power is their ability to shapeshift. However, they are typically limited to the either human or dragon forms.
Very very very rarely may a Juastet transform into a Phoenix. The Phoenix form is the most powerful form, but also the most energetically draining. Many Juastet have died trying to transform into the Phoenix - the shift requires a tremendous amount of energy not only to shift but to retain that form. Thus it is not a form used unless absolutely unavoidable. The Juastet in Phoenix form is known as a Phedara. The ancient word for phenomenon.
In the more common Dragon form - the Juastet is known to mortals as Drevma. In this form they posses superior eyesight, able to see across miles with their falcon-like vision. Physically they possess natural deadly weapons in the form of their claws, teeth. Some Drevma posses tail spikes - but not all. They are flighted creatures and able to fly at speeds over 200mph. but flying at higher speeds is very energetically draining.
In Human form, Juastet typically have one supernatural power, these may range from element manipulation, mind-reading, telekinesis, etc. NOTE: if your character is a manipulator of the elements - you may only manipulate ONE element - either water, fire, earth, or wind - but not more than one.
Juastet draw their energy from light. The sun being their main energy source. By day they are able to shift forms at will, but by nightfall are forced to retain whatever form they are currently in.
Juastet are generally perceived as innately good creatures. This does not mean they are perfect. They are able to fall under temptation and corruption. The Juastet's natural enemy is the Shephet - it is possible to cross from a Juastet to a Shephet (but it is much much harder to become a Juastet if you are a Shephet). A very powerful Juastet known as Gav'rael serves to guard the gates to Luyara (In English cultures Heaven) and escort in those mortals who have ended their lives without falling to the sway of the Shephet.
Although immortal, a Juastet may die in several ways. In Human form, they are immune to all diseases, but may die from traumatic injury such as decapitation, spinal severing, or massive blood loss. As Drevma, they may only be killed by the removal of the heart. As Phenara they are nearly invincible, only one thing will kill them. Fire from a Sphynx (Syrix)- the most powerful form of the Shephet. NOTE: In all forms the complete draining of all stored energy will result in death

Shephet
The Shephet, the other immortal race, are known as the True Shifters because they are relatviely unrestricted as to which forms they may take. The only forms unavailable to them is that of the Phedara (Phoenix) - they also may not take forms of inanimate objects or plants. They MAY take the form of the Dragon - however, when in this form they are distinguished from the Guardians by their smaller size, slightly slower top flight speeds (only up to 150mph) and inability to breathe fire. They may however still breathe ice.
Shephet generally have one goal, to wipe out the human race. They see humans as inferior and will stop at nothing to either kill them, or turn them to Shephet in order to further their own numbers. Shephet draw energy from darkness and are masters of shadow and stealth. As such, they earn the nickame "Shade". Shephet may change form at will during the night, but must retain one form throughout the day. Although the forms a Shephet may take are virtually limitless some forms possess a greater advantage over the others.
Wolf form: A Shephet in wolf form is called a Ul'e. In this form they possess superior sense of smell and tremendous speed and intuition.
Human form: Like the Juastet, in Human form many Shephet possess one supernatural ability. These may range from element manipulation, mindreading, telekinesis, etc. NOTE: if your character is a manipulator of the elements - you may only manipulate ONE element - either water, fire, eath, or wind - but not more than one.
Sphynx (Syrix): This is the most energetically unstable form. A Shephet in this form may only be able to retain this form for a few seconds to a few minutes, no matter what time of day/night/or how much stored energy they possess. It is highly dangerous to shift into this form, having the potential to drain the shifting Shephet of all of his energy and thus result in death. Thus this form is only used under the most crucial/critical of circumstances - when there is no other out. NOTE: The Fire of the Sphynx (Fei dem Syrix). is the sole agent that may kill a Phedara (Phoenix).
Shephet are generally viewed as innately evil. They are the destroyers of the human race. They delight in the fall of mortal men. A powerful Shephet by the name of Shadahl is the keeper of the underground and escorts those mortals who have fallen to the Shephet's ways to the depths of Shadara (In English cultures - Hell). It is extremely difficult, and painful, for a Shephet to convert to a Juastet. Although it can be done under the right circumstances.
Although immortal, a Shephet may die in several ways. In Human form, and any form other than that of the wolf and Sphynx, they are immune to all diseases, but they may die from traumatic injury such as decapitation, spinal severing, or massive blood loss. In Wolf (Ul'e) form they may only die by decapitation. In Sphynx (Syrix) form they may only die by the fire of a Phoenix (Fei dem Phedara).
NOTE: In all forms a Shephet may die by the complete drain of energy.

'Dema
'Dema are mortal humans who have attended Leis Shouber and serve their country and towns by serving as a warrior and protector. They are the soldiers of the city. They answer to their respective kingdom's kings and queens. However, they are individual warriors. There is no contract of their allegience, no militia or military branch for them to belong to. Although they may organize themselves together if they so desire to form coalitions. Thus they serve as soldiers yet are free to roam the country, serve in different posts within their own country, etc.
'Dema do not possess any magical or supernatural powers. They are simply strong, exceptionally skilled through training in weaponry, stealth, battle tactics, etc. The path of the 'Dema is harsh, and is usually started when the entering human is 8yrs of age. To graduate the program and become 'Dema, each student much complete the Eilva Temra, or the "Eleven Tasks". These tasks are individualized for each student and the student must complete at least one per year in order to stay enrolled in Leis Shouber. Students to the path of the 'Dema are usually grouped in threes and fours, and paired with a mentor whom they live, study, and train with. They complete their entire time at Leis Shouber in these groupings. The entire duration of training for a 'Dema is 8-11years. depending on how fast you complete the Eilva Temra - but the minimum amount of years is 8, even if you complete the Eilva Temra in under 8 years.
'Dema may die like any normal human - they may contract illnesses, fatal wounds, etc.

'Cema
'Cema are graduated 'Dema that demonstrate some skill or ability past that of a normal human. Such gifts include exceptionally quick movement, extreme endurance, special intuition, the art of persuasion, extreme beauty or intelligence, the ability to speak and understand languages foreign to them, etc.
Very special 'Cema may possess telekinesis, telepathy, or foresight. However, these gifts are extremely rare (and must be approved by an admin) and no 'Cema possesses more than one of these elite abilities.
'Cema are usually trained in secret for a minimum of 2 years. They have a mentor who they both live, study, and train with. The course of the 'Cema is very very grueling and harsh. Once a 'Cema has started training, there is only two choices - succeed or die. There is no discontinuation of training.
'Cema are generally assassins. There some 'Cema who hunt those known as Juastet and Shephet. They are ignorant and uncaring of the differences between the two and thus hunt them both equally. Many times these 'Cema are hired by bounty hunters.
'Cema may die like any normal human. However, there are some who would search for immortality. Any mortal may search for immortality, but it is rarely acheived by anyone who is not 'Cema. Immortality may be acheived in one way - drinking the blood of either a Juastet or a Shephet. However, the source of immortality determines the nature of the immortality. In other words, drink from a Juastet obtain the immortal nature of that creature, drink from a Shephet and obtain the immortal nature of that creature.
Blood of the Juastet/Shephet may be taken after killing the creature, or the creature may offer their blood to a 'Cema.

Humans
Humans are simply that. They are not 'Dema nor 'Cema. They have no supernatural or magical powers. They live in the countryside and in towns/villages in the countries of Merelith and Meredia.
Humans may have a trade or skill that they specialize at. These may include blacksmiths, fishermen, stable managers, farmers, etc. (This RPG has a medieval feel to it, so keep it reasonable).
Some humans can be bounty hunters. They may employ 'Cema or 'Dema to do their work, depending on the nature of the task. Some tasks are more appropriate for 'Cema rather than 'Dema. Bounty Hunters typically do not do their own hunting, but rather, prefer to profit from the work of others. They pay well, but expect their fair share of the bounty collected. Bounty may be set on anyone by anyone with the funds to do it.

Hybrids:
Hybrids are classified as either Shephet-mortal or Juastet-mortal mixes. The term mortal encompasses both 'Cema and 'Dema as well as Humans.
There are no Shephet-Juastet hybrids - because essentially they are born of the same race, they simply just diverged on different paths. One of Light and one of Dark.
Hybrids may have power passed down from each respective parent. However, these powers are diminished and do not function at the full capacity of the full-bloods. Since these powers are diminished, it is allowable to have two distinct powers. One from the father and one from the mother.
Because Hybrids are what they are - they may not be able to shift into multiple forms if a Shephet hyrbid, or may not be able to breathe both fire and ice if a Juastet hybrid.
Hybrids are half mortal - so they can be affected by diseases and other such calamities. However, they typically have better immune systems and heal faster because of their immortal halfs. Hybrids may die from extensive injury in human forms and all other rules of dying apply based on form. (Be reasonable, the admins and mods can make you modify your bio and or posts if it is too far-fetched.)
