"Nicias?" He heard a low whisper come from the door. Only one person knew his real name.
"In here mother." He was busy with his latest project. He was experimenting with his latest invention. He called it the gun.
"Nicias...haven't you had enough time in front of that contraption long enough!"
"Mother...You know that I just want to be safe. For you and I."
"Right now I just want you to be happy. But I didn't stop by to tell you to get away from you gizzmo. I came to tell you that I am throwing a party, and I would like you...or Vladimir to attend. Care to help your mother?"
If it wasn't for the fact that he owes everything to his mother, including his life, he would have said no. "Okay mother, Vladimir will make his grand entrance. But only for you mother...I'm not socializing...I don't want you ending up 6 feet under."
"Fair Enough Son....I just wanted you by me. I miss you."
That stopped him, and he turned to his mother. "I missed you too mother." He got up and hugged her. he then got on one knee and said, "Mother, I promise you, I won't let anything happen to you...Okay?"
"I know son...I know." She kissed his cheek. "Now get dressed. You have to be down there in about 5 hours."
"Yes mother."

Sabra stole around that evening, noticing a large get together in a building nearby. She had no doubt there would be fd there. And she hadn't had a decent meal in awhile. Sabra snuck back behind the building and found a window she was able to slip into. The Shephet hybrid looked down at herself and frowned. There wasn't much she would be able do to blend in. But she id pull up her shawl to cover her crop of hay colored hair. It was too bright to hide in the shadows if her hair was visible.
During the hustle and bustle in the halls, Sabra snuck into the main room easily and slid along the wall toward tables full of food. She stayed behind the tables as best she could, reaching out every once in awhile for food, then slinking back to hide behind her huge black cloak.

'I doubt it she is one of my mothers friends.'
He grabbed a plate, and piled food on it. At least one of everything. He made sure it was enough for his little guest. He then grabbed a little gorge of water as well. 'Not much good for food if you don't have something to drink it down with. Good water is hard to find.'
He grabbed the strangers hand, and pulled her outside. 'I doubt she will be doing anything to attract attention to herself.'
When they were outside, he decided to reason with her. "I wish you would have just asked rather than stolen food." He held out the gorge and the gigantic plate of food. "I hope that is enough for you. Take the plate even. Give it a good clean and a shine, probably be worth a good amount of money." He then reached in his pocket and pulled his little pouch that had:
Gula: $20 Sievet: £8 Bruen: €12
He put the pouch in her pocket, seeing as she had her hands full. "That should last you for a while as well. I don't really need it." He then started walking away, when he stared in and didn't feel interested in walking in.
"Care to accompany for a walk?" He asked, and then he turned to face his stranger, and smile.

Sabra was startled, to say the least. This prson had come out of nowhere and probably owned the place. The light haired girl was now very wary of him.
She glanced back and forth between his face and the plate full of food. She reached out and snatched the plate from him. She hungrily ate and drank to her content and dumped the rest into a belt pouch that was water proof and in which she normally stored food. "I'm not usually welcome to come in and ask for food..." Sabra started, "I'm usually turned away at the door." She was used to such behavior.
Sabra glared down at the offending bulge of the money pouch in her pocket. "I don't need your charity in form of money. I just needed the food.," she spat. She reached into her pocket to pull out the pouch.

He wasn't offended by her harsh words. He also didn't take back the little pouch. "Well then, don't consider it as charity. Consider it as...an gift. From me to you. And you are alway welcome at my door step. Unfortunately, not this one, because this is my mothers. If you ever need food, you can always visit me on the cottage on the outskirts of town. Just don't tell anyone that there is one over there. Like you, my 'true' self isn't really welcomed here. Maybe if I see you again, I can tell you the story."

Sabra stuffed the pouch back into her pocket, not about to offer the man his money back. He wanted to waste it, let him. She was gathering up her large cloak of a shawl when she pausedo glare at him questioningly again. What did he mean by..."True self?" Sabra pulled back a bit. She wasn't in the mood to get tangled up in a mess with a mad man. She had had her fill of those, thank you very much.

He saw the uneasiness in her eye. "If you don't want me to be around, I understand. I can leave you be. I was just thinking that since you have no one to be around with and I don't really want to be in there for fear of death or near-death events may occur, maybe you wouldn't mind a walk." He really didn't care if her answer was yes or no, but it would make things more enjoyable if he had someone other than himself to talk to. "What do you say?"

Sabra brought a piece of the shawl over her head with delicate, pale fingers and shot the man an odd look before her face was completely engulfed behind the cloth. "What do i care if you should follow around or not. I've no druthers...Do as you like..." The blonde Shephet Hybrid turned on her heel and started briskly down the road. She did not want to stay in this town for much longer. Someone had seen her for what sh was earlier that day as she wandered around aimlessly. And it had been obvious to Sabra that she would be unwelcomed in yet another city. She was running out of places to search.

"I would enjoy your company. That's about it." He noticed that she was walking away. "Well, if you want company. I'll be sitting on the bench there. When you are ready, feel free to find me."
